Giants LT Ereck Flowers on Thursday brushed off the negative publicity surrounding his early-season struggles and said he wants to focus on the team's Week 3 matchup against the Eagles.
"I don't have nothing to say to none of them," Flowers said to NJ Advance Media. "I could not care less. Everyone is entitled to their opinion."
Flowers allowed three sacks in the Giants' Week 2 loss to the Lions before the Giants shuffled their offensive line later in the game.
"Minus those few plays, I thought I played all right," Flowers said. "Those three plays were big, so it overshadows any good work I did. But other than that, I'm on to the next week."
Giants coach Ben McAdoo said earlier this week that Flowers will "absolutely" remain the team's left tackle.
"Ereck is a young player," he said. "He did some good things in the ballgame yesterday. He gets singled out and that's the way it goes in this league. Again, the breakdowns are spread out. It's not just one player making breakdowns. The breakdowns are spread out and I am included. Throw me in there."
