The Giants' first round pick, Evan Engram, showed off his play-making abilities at OTAs Monday, according to Dan Salomone of Giants.com
Engram was targeted numerous times by QB Eli Manning, and the two clearly showed their chemistry throughout practice. He showed off his nimble feet and soft hands on a sweet back-shoulder grab from Manning down the sideline to highlight his performance.
WR Sterling Shepard was also a standout as he proved he could be counted on in crunch time. During the two-minute drill, Shepard hauled in three catches to bring the offense within field goal range.
In his rookie season last year, Shepard was targeted early in clutch situations, whether it be third down or under two minutes. Clearly, that trust will only get stronger for Manning who is prepping the wideout to make big plays already.
Finally, another tight end caught the eyes of those in attendances as Will Tye made a leaping grab on a ball from Davis Webb in the end zone.
With Engram showing out and TE Matt LaCosse having a great practice on Friday, tight end competition is sure to be a focal point for this Giants team once training camp officially begins.
The Giants have three more OTAs on June 6, 8 and 9 before mandatory mini camp starts June 13.
