Now Commenting On:

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin was asked yesterday if he thought he's Hall of Fame worthy. He has won two Super Bowls and owns a career record of 170 wins, 137 losses which includes a postseason record of 12-7.

From Gary Myers of the Daily News:

“You want to be the very, very best you can be,” Coughlin told Gary Myers of the New York Daily News. “If the highest point in recognition in our game is the Hall of Fame, then why not think about that? Do I think about it every day? No.”

“I think it merits consideration, yeah, but that’s as far as I’m going,” he said. “I don’t think about it every day. I’d rather think about getting a group of players together that we can coach to win a game. That’s where I am. Just one year, one game. Let’s take care of today.”

Coughlin is far from done 'taking care of today'. He's got at least 16 more games in him and could be here for several more seasons beyond that.

Personally, if he wins a third Super Bowl, he's in. If not, he'll be thrown in with a slew of other 2x SB winning coaches still waiting at the gate in Canton.

Your thoughts...?
