Ben McAdoo could be returning to the sidelines next season.
The former Giants head coach will interview for a spot on Kliff Kingsbury's staff with the Arizona Cardinals, reports Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
McAdoo, 41, was fired by the Giants during the 2017 season -- along with GM Jerry Reese -- after the team started off 2-10, and in the wake of the controversy surrounding Eli Manning's benching.
It was the first time since the mid-70s that the Giants had fired a head coach in-season.
Giants co-owner John Mara took responsibility for the benching decision, but said he didn't like the way McAdoo handled the situation. Mara said there was a misunderstanding, but McAdoo said the two were on the same page.
After becoming head coach in 2016, McAdoo went 13-16, which included the playoff loss to the Packers after the 2016 season.
