Kevin Gilbride is returning as a coach in New York.
Per Jay Glazer, the former Giants offensive coordinator will be a head coach for New York's XFL team next season.
Gilbride, 67, retired from coaching in the NFL after the 2013 season.
He was with the Giants for 10 seasons from 2004-2013, starting as the quarterbacks coach when Eli Manning began his career and moving over the offensive coordinator in 2007 when the Giants won their first of two Super Bowls with Gilbride as the offensive coordinator.
His only head-coaching experience in the NFL came with the San Diego Chargers from 1998-99 where he went 6-16.
