On being selected for the Ring of Honor along with 30 other former Giants:
"It's a terrific feeling to be selected as one of the members of the Ring of Honor. I don't know much about it at all. All I know is that I have to be there. It's quite an honor and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there."
On his relationship with the Mara family:
"The Mara family has always been good to me. I still go to the home games and sit with them in the box. Wellington Mara scouted me and drafted me out of USC. He was my presenter when I was inducted into the Hall of Fame and I presented him when he went in. I have been very close to the Mara family over the years."
On playing his entire career with the Giants:
"I never thought about playing for another team. The game is vastly different now than it was when I came in. We had a 35-man roster, there were very few trades, and there were no agents. I'm proud to say that the Giants were the only team I ever played for."
On the New Meadowlands Stadium:
"I love the New Meadowlands, they did a great job of constructing it. It is bigger than the old Giants Stadium, but it doesn't have the feel of a stadium that is so much bigger. All of the seats seem to be good, and I think it's really an extraordinary place to watch a game."
On his former teammates:
"Some of us stayed together on the Giants our entire careers, which was really special. It's the friendships and relationships that are formed over the years that you remember."
