Michigan OT Taylor Lewan was measured at 6-foot-7 1/8 and 309 lbs. He's certainly a sizable asset for any team to put on their O-line. On Thursday, Lewan spent some time explaining away the sexual misconduct rumors and accusations following him out of Ann Arbor. (Rock)
Conor Orr of the Star-Ledger writes Stanford OL David Yankey could be just what the doctor ordered for the Giants' offensive line:
"The 6-5, 314-pound offensive lineman, who had a meeting with the Giants on Wednesday, knew he had a different makeup coming into the NFL Draft. He's rated as the top guard in his class despite coming out a year early. He has scouts paying close attention to his technique to see if it matches his natural power."
Ebenezer Samuel of the Daily News reports that Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is pleased to be bringing in Mike Pope as his new TE coach:
"Mike Pope is a great football coach," Garrett said. "I had the good fortune of being able to be around him for four years with the Giants and he's really as good a coach as I've been around in my career. I saw it up close and personal with a lot of different guys, established players and young players. He's a great friend, a great addition to our staff."
