Giants backup QB Geno Smith ripped WFAN's Craig Carton, who was arrested last week stemming from charges that he was involved in a Ponzi scheme.
Same guy who was calling me a thug on some lame radio station was running a Ponzi scheme?? Funny how life works, can't believe these fools!- Geno (@GenoSmith3) September 12, 2017

Carton, who was released on $500,000 bond last Wednesday and is due back in court on Oct. 6, released a statement on Tuesday saying he was not guilty,
It was alleged in Manhattan federal court that he used his Ponzi scheme to pay off casino debts. He, along with co-defendant Michael Wright, told investors that they had arrangements with various promoters and entertainers to get discounted tickets for resale they could profit from.
"Craig Carton and Michael Wright deceived investors and raised millions of dollars through misrepresentation and outright lies," Acting Manhattan U.S. Attorney Joon Kim said. "...Behind all the talk the Wright and Carton show was just a sham designed to fleece investors."
Carton and Wright both face up to 45 years in prison.
