“Our biggest concern was we’d run out of funding in 5 minutes once we began operations in the tri-state area” Keli Coughlin told me just prior to the start of the evening.
The Fund's Executive Director, who is also one of the coach’s daughters, was excited at the continued year over year turnout of NY Giants players past and present, as well as the involvement of two current players specifically: her brother in law - OG Chris Snee - and Rookie LB Mark Herzlich, himself a cancer survivor (as well as a Boston College alum) where the fund had it’s start in the aftermath of the passing of former BC player Jay McGillis In 1996.
“Every year it just gets better and better." said Coach to us early in the evening.
Aside from many of the current Giant stars, Former players Sean Landeta, Howard Cross, Jim Burt, Chuck Mercein, and ‘The Captain” Harry Carson lent their time last night to come out for the cause.
“The Giants Alumni always turn out for good causes and this one is so important” echoed Landeta.
