DJ Jones, a tackle out of the University of Nebraska who spent time last season on the practice squads of the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins, was added to the Giants' 53-man roster today. To make way for Jones, the Giants waived third-year OL Mitch Petrus, who had an uneven training camp this year.
Jones, who is 6'5", 310 lbs, was signed by the Philadephia Eagles in February and waived yesterday as part of their final cuts.
The Giants also announced their practice squad this afternoon. It consists of eight players they cut yesterday:
WR David Douglas; DEs Matt Broha and Craig Marshall; OLs Matt McCants, Selvish Capers and Stephen Goodin; TE Larry Donnell; and DB Laron Scott.
