The Giants practiced today at QDTC before heading out to Jacksonville for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
DT Cullen Jenkins (calf), OL Adam Snyder (knee) and LB Jacquian Williams (concussion/shoulder) did not participate and have all been ruled out for Sunday.
DE Mathias Kiwanuka (knee) and OL Justin Pugh (quad) were limited and are questionable, while WR Odell Beckham, Jr. (back), LB Jameel McClain (knee), CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and OL Geoff Schwartz (toe) all practiced in full. S Antrel Rolle (non-injury related) was also full tilt on Friday.
Head coach Tom Coughlin said Williams was just "not ready" to return to action yet:
"What can I tell you?," Coughlin told reporters. "As long as the symptoms exist, there are some symptoms…he’s not going to be cleared. So… he’s not ready."
The coach said Schwartz was "sore" and was held out earlier in the week but was better today. Snyder, who started at LG last week vs Dallas, will be replaced by rookie Weston Richburg.
Coughlin said Richburg did not relish being benched for Snyder last week and hopefully he will respond going forward with a better showing.
"Didn’t like it. That’s a good thing," Coughlin stated. "That shows me he wants to do it. He’s competitive as heck and he didn’t like it. Maybe we struck a chord there."
As for Pugh, he's improving each day but the jury is still out on him for Sunday.
Coughlin was asked if this week's trip to Jacksonville held any nostalgia for him.
"Not nostalgia," he said smiling. "We’re hungry to win. That’s all."
