Giants have contingent at Kyler Murray's pro day Wednesday

Notably, the Cardinals won't have a presence there

QB Kyler Murray -- the potential No. 1 pick in the Draft -- is having his pro day on Wednesday, with the Giants sending a contingent to watch and then meet with him.

Among the Giants brass expected to be there, according to ESPN's Jordan RaananChris Mara and Pat Shurmur. Raanan adds that the plan is for the Giants to spend time with Murray Wednesday night.

One team that reportedly won't be in attendance is the Cardinals, which is notable since they have the top pick and have been heavily connected to Murray (while rumors have swirled about incumbent QB Josh Rosen).

Murray looks like a reach for the Giants at No. 6, but if the Cardinals aren't in on him for some reason, that could change. Meanwhile, while it's believed that GM Dave Gettleman prefers a taller quarterback, the Giants said Murray's relatively diminutive height won't lead to them ruling him out.

And with the Giants arguably setting their franchise back a few years with the trade that sent Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns, the time has never seemed as right as it does now for them to land their next franchise QB.

The Giants have been connected most to Dwayne Haskins, who could be available when they pick at No. 6. But with Big Blue adding the No. 17 pick in the Beckham trade, they could potentially wait until then to take a QB instead.

Meawhile, the elephant in the room is still Eli Manning, who is still on the team for some reason even with them in the midst of a full rebuild.
