The folks at The Weather Channel are calling for rain in the San Francisco Bay Area from Thursday through Monday. The chance of rain is 60-70% during that time with temperatures in the mid-50's. In other words, a typical SF forecast for this time of year.
The precipitation will undoubtedly turn the natural surface of Candlestick Park into a bog that will surely slow down the Giants' vertical passing game. Not ideal conditions if I say so myself. Wet weather and mud will favor the Niners, who specialize in trench warfare.
The Giants are going out to San Francisco with designs of controlling the line of scrimmage. Loose turf will make that more difficult to do. We will keep you apprised of all the happenings - including cleat changes.
