Ebenezer Samuel of the Daily News reports that former Giant WR Mario Manningham will be visiting the team today. If right, he could be the guy to fill the open WR slot this season...

It’s hard to know what the Giants would get out of Manningham in his second tour of duty, given that he tore his ACL in 2012 and struggled to return from that last season. The Giants seem set to go with Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle and Jerrell Jernigan as their top three receivers, but now that Hakeem Nicks is gone, the team does need depth behind that trio. Manningham would likely provide that.
He's not my ideal candidate, but he is a known entity. Signing him doesn't rule out any future moves at wideout the Giants might be contemplating. If can draft a stud, they'll still do it, but Mario would compliment the current group nicely.
