Three days after Daniel Jones rallied the Giants from a 28-10 deficit and led a last-minute game-winning drive in his debut as the starter at quarterback, he has been named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week.
He received the honors after going 23 of 36 for 336 yards while throwing two touchdowns and rushing for two others -- including the game-winner with just over a minute left in Week 3's win over the Bucs. Jones did not throw an interception.
Jones is following in the footsteps of Saquon Barkley, who won the award in Week 11 of the 2018 season after he rushed 27 times for 142 yards while scoring two touchdowns.
Texans QB Deshaun Watson took the Offensive Player of the Week honors for Week 3 in the AFC.
Jones' debut was the best of any heralded Giants quarterback draft pick, blowing away the debut performances of Eli Manning, Phil Simms, and Dave Brown.
What made Jones' performance even more impressive was the fact that he didn't have Barkley at his disposal for the entire second half, with Barkley on crutches on the sidelines after suffering a high ankle sprain.
Jones will get his second career start -- and first home start -- when the Giants face the Redskins at MetLife Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
