Yesterday, the team continued to make strides in training camp, but several players still were unable to participate. LBs Michael Boley and Jake Muasau missed another day of workouts with sore hamstrings. DE Justin Trattou's ankle is still not ready and OT James Brewer and DT Martin Parker sat out with back issues.
Speaking of back issues, OT Will Beatty was held out with back problems again. Tom Coughlin said he was "slowing down" and needed to rest. Another new injury is LB Jacquian Williams' hip. He was sidelined yesterday after x-rays showed no damage. Both are day-to-day.
WR Hakeem Nicks could begin running routes as early as today.
The Giants are one week away from their first preseason game. RB Ahmad Bradshaw, who said his ailing feet were no longer an issue, was asked if the team was ready.
"This is what we do," said Bradshaw. "We’ve been doing it for years. This is my 20th year of playing football. It’s just the nature. You want to just jump back into it half the time and get started. I think everybody’s ready for it. All it is transferring the information that they receive onto the football field and I think that we’re going to be fine."
