The Giants continue to adjust their roster before their Week 1 matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday, as they signed DT John Jenkins on Tuesday, the team announced.
The 6-foot-3, 327-pound defensive tackle adds another great run stopper to the front line. A former third-round pick by the Saints back in 2013, Jenkins has played 59 career games between New Orleans, the Seahawks, and most recently, the Bears last season. He has totaled 121 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two pass defenses over his six-year career.
To make room for Jenkins, DE Romeo Okwara was waived by the Giants. The Notre Dame product played in all 16 games with the Giants last season, picking up 25 combined tackles and one sack.
