The New York Giants signed linebacker Keenan Robinson to a contract on Monday.
Robinson, 26, recorded 63 combined tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception in 12 games last season for the Washington Redskins.
The Giants lost linebacker Jon Beason to retirement earlier in the offseason, and Jasper Brinkley is a free agent.
"I think this is the best fit for me," Robinson said ina press release. "They're a team that needed a middle linebacker. I think I can fill that role for the team. I'm very excited for the opportunity."
Prior to signing with the Giants, he spent his entire four-year career with Washington, though he missed the 2013 season with a torn pec. He has played in 36 games since Washington drafted him in the fourth round in 2012.
