Odds in his favor or not, wideout David Douglas - a UDFA out of Arizona - has been making the most of his opportunity in Albany thus far. (AP photo: Kathy Willens)
◊ My new name for David Wilson? Neo. Wilson found a new way to defy physics, balancing and maneuvering himself in order to avoid a “tackle.”
◊ Michael Boley and Keith Rivers sat out today with sore hamstrings. Coughlin did not appear too worried and expects them back within the next week. Spencer Paysinger took Boley’s spot with the 1st team defense.
◊ Ryan Perrilloux bounced back a bit today. Perrilloux threw a couple OF nice deep strikes. He performance had been outright atrocious throughout the opening two days.
◊ Jerrel Jernigan continued his impressive play. He hauled in a deep toss during the middle of practice. But David Douglas is also making some noise. The 6-1 UDFA out of Arizona State had a few nice receptions this afternoon.
◊ Eli has nothing to worry about as far as his job is concerned, but he was frustrated once more today by an oncoming Justin Tuck. Tuck swatted down a short pass attempt back into the defending Super Bowl MVP’s face.
◊ Corey Webster out fought Victor Cruz for a pass, picked it off, and then proceeded to be tackled by the WR. Kenny Phillips called for Webster’s version of the salsa dance.
◊ Ryan Purvis, who is attempting to nab the final TE spot had a nifty catch after tipping the ball back to himself.
◊ Tomorrow, the Giants will be wearing full padding and then take a day off on Tuesday.
