The Giants waived DL Olsen Pierre and promoted OL Evan Brown off their practice squad on Saturday morning, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
The team needed some extra offensive line depth as C Jon Halapio is out with a hamstring injury and OT Mike Remmers is doubtful with a back injury for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Pierre, a third-year player out of Miami (FL), has played in nine games for the Giants this season and has eight tackles and two sacks. Pierre played 24 games for the Arizona Cardinals from 2017-2018, recording 42 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
Brown signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2018 out of Southern Methodist University, but was inactive for every game his rookie season. He was waived by the Giants on Aug. 31, 2019, but signed to the practice squad the next day.
