Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley are, unsurprisingly, considered longshots at best to win NFL MVP in 2020. Jones comes in at 66-1, while Barkley is listed at 100-1, according to BetOnline.ag.
After taking over at quarterback in Week 3 last season, Jones will enter the season as the undisputed starter following the retirement of Eli Manning. He'll hope to build on the relationship he developed with fellow rookie Darius Slayton, who also debuted in Week 3 and finished the season with 48 catches for 740 yards and eight touchdowns. Jones finished the season with 3027 yards passing and a 61.9% completion percentage. Other players at 66-1 include incoming quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa.
Barkley took the league by storm in 2018 and led the entire NFL in yards from scrimmage, but missed three games with an ankle sprain in 2019. He finished the season with 1003 yards rushing and added 52 catches for 438 yards out of the backfield, but remains one of the most explosive running backs in the league. Barkley joins Jets quarterback Sam Darnold and former Giants wide reciever Odell Beckham Jr. among the players listed at 100-1.
Chiefs quarterback and reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes is the odds-on favorite at 6-1, while 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson is right behind him to defend his title, at 13-2.
Russell Wilson (9-1), Deshaun Watson (12-1), Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott (tied at 18-1) round out the top five. Christian McCaffrey has the best odds of any non-quarterback at 25-1.
