Giants co-owner John Mara is remaining hopeful that the team will be able to come to terms with WR Odell Beckham on a new contract.
"I hope so," Mara said at the United Way of New York City's Gridiron Gala, according to the New York Post.
Beckham is slated to make $8.5 million this season in his fifth season with the Giants.
Mara, who at the owner's meetings earlier this year fielded questions about Beckham's future -- including whether or not he was on the trading block -- said he was "happy to see" the 25-year-old Beckham at the team's voluntary offseason workouts.
As Beckham prepares to enter the final year of his contract, Mara said he does not feel a "sense of urgency" to get a new deal done, but nonetheless said one "will" get done.
"The contract will get done when it's supposed to get done," he said. "I think that's the Dave Gettleman line. I'm gonna adopt that I think, all spring, all summer, as long as it takes."
