Don't count out Jon Beason just yet.
The veteran linebacker plans to play Sunday in New Orleans despite a rolled ankle and a knee injury, he said Thursday.
"That's the plan. That is the plan, feeling better every day, but it happens when you go out and you play a lot of reps," Beason said.
"Unfortunately guys get nicked. The good thing about our room is we have a lot of guys that can play, a lot of veteran guys, smart players, and we feel good about whoever is out there."
Beason missed the first two games of the season due to injury, but doesn't believe he's in jeopardy of missing a third this season.
Playing through injury is just the nature of the game, he said.
