Landon Collins has re-aggravated his ankle injury in the second quarter against the Eagles and has been ruled out for the rest of the game, the team announced.

Collins was initially ruled doubtful for the game but convinced trainers in a workout this morning that he'd be good to go. He started and registered a tackle before being forced to exit.

Giants rookie RB Saquon Barkley has already made a dream come true, buyting his parents a brand new home following his Draft Day. Now, it looks like he's searching for his own dream home.

Barkley has recently taken a tour of a penthouse at the Beekman Residences in the Financial District, according to The Post's Jennifer Gould Keil. The 5 Beekman St. condos were designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen, and this particular penthouse is going for $12.99 million.

While getting a panoramic view of the city skyline from the 51st floor, the three-bedroom condo has 16-foot ceilings, oak floors, and a 155-square-foot terrace. The building itself also has a private dining room, media room, and a rooftop terrace to name some of the amenities.

Odell Beckham, Jr. wants the Giants to give him the biggest contract ever given to a wide receiver. So far, all he's done is watch other star receivers get extended by their respective teams.

The latest receiver to get paid is Brandin Cooks, who agreed with the Rams on a five-year extension worth $81 million. The deal has just over $50 million in guarantees, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

The Rams acquired the 24-year-old Cooks from the Patriots earlier in the offseason, coming off a season where he had 65 receptions for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns.

Former Giant and two-time Super Bowl champion Chris Snee can't wait to watch Giants rookie guard Will Hernandez in NFL action.

Snee, now a scout with the Jaguars under Tom Coughlin, said he had an opportunity to check out the new Giants' rookie and meet him in person. He ultimately wrote a pre-draft report on him, according to the New York Post.

I think [Hernandez] is maybe a little stronger physically than I was at that point, but I would like to think my movement was a little bit better,'' Snee said.

The Giants announced they have agreed to a deal with Western Michigan CB Sam Beal, who they selected in the third round of the 2018 Supplemental Draft.

Known for his skill in man-to-man coverage, Beal was touted by some as the best prospect to come out of the Supplemental Drat since Browns WR Josh Gordon. At 6-foot-1, 187 pounds, Beal has the prototypical frame that teams love on the outside, and his technique and skill allow him to be able to work in any scheme.

"We feel like we're getting our third-round pick now," GM Dave Gettleman said in a statement after drafting Beal. "We discussed it at length yesterday, and had a great conversation. We basically had a draft meeting in the office, with people on the speaker phone who had seen him. It was a very thorough conversation.

Giants TE Evan Engram agrees with his former coach Ben McAdoo-- he's glad McAdoo came out and said he thinks that the Giants are going to win the NFC East.

McAdoo broke his public silence since being fired by the team after going 13-15 with one postseason loss in one and a half seasons. Engram, speaking at his camp in New Jersey, was glad McAdoo said what he did.

"I'm glad he said it. It's really realistic," Engram said...

Ben McAdoo believes his former team will win the NFC East.

The former Giants head coach, who was fired along with GM Jerry Reese midway through the 2017 season, told the New York Post's Paul Schwartz he thinks the Giants improved this past offseason and thinks they can overtake the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the division.

"I think Philly, how much success has Philly had?" McAdoo said. "I think they're gonna have a hard time handling success. Dallas, I like their offensive line, but how long have we been saying that? Their defense, they got a bunch of young guys playing DB, Sean Lee is banged up a lot, and their D-line, they got a bunch of guys getting in trouble all the time. And Washington is Washington, right?"

Former Giants coach Ben McAdoo criticized offensive lineman Ereck Flowers in an interview with the New York Post's Paul Schwartz, despite defending the former first-round pick as a head coach.

"He can't bend, you got to be able to bend," McAdoo said. "You can run around him on that side just like you can on the other side, Eli [Manning] just gets to see it, which may help Eli. It's not the blind side, it's in his vision, so if he's comfortable with what's going on over on the left side, it can help him move in the pocket a little bit better."

Flowers has been labeled a bust since the GIants drafted him ninth overall in 2015 out of Miami (Fla.). He hasn't been guaranteed a starting spot on New York's new-look offensive line that also features Nate Solder and Will Hernandez, although Flowers will shift from left tackle to right tackle

After benching fan-favorite QB Eli Manning amid a disastrous season, Giants fan weren't upset to see Ben McAdoo be relieved of his duties. But McAdoo's biggest regret wasn't his unceremonious benching of the Giants legend, it was his handling of star WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham was the team's best player but oft-embroiled in controversy, and McAdoo is regretful of his treatment of the star-- both off the field and on it.

"I needed to be better for him personally, as a coordinator and head coach,'' McAdoo said...

Former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo thinks Jets rookie Sam Darnold has potential to be a "special" quarterback, but said he didn't like his throwing mechanics.

"I think the kid the Jets drafted has a lot of magic in his game,'' McAdoo told the New York Post's Paul Schwartz. "I think he's special. He's obviously a talented guy, he can make plays with his feet. I'd just have a hard time drafting a guy in the first round where you don't necessarily like the way he throws."

Darnold, who played two seasons at USC, threw for 3,086 yards, 31 touchdowns and nine interceptions with five fumbles as a sophomore in 2016. Last season, he threw for more yards (3,787), but fewer touchdowns (26) and more interceptions (12) and fumbles (seven). The turnovers, McAdoo believes, had a negative impact on his perspective.

The Giants took highly-touted Western Michigan CB Sam Beal in the Supplemental Draft on Wednesday. It was the first pick in the Supplemental Draft since 2015, and the Giants' first such pick since 1994.

Here's what the experts are saying...

  • The 6-foot-1, 187-pounder not only has plus size, but he displays outstanding movement skills and agility on the perimeter. Beal looks like a natural cover corner on the island with the potential to play in a nose-to-nose position or from distance. He flashes outstanding footwork, balance and body control shadowing receivers while staying in their hip pocket down the field. Beal's discipline and detail in coverage suggest that he could grow into a front-line player in a diverse scheme that features man and zone concepts with a variety of techniques. - Bucky Brooks, NFL.com

With the first selection any team has made in the Supplemental Draft since 2015, the Giants took 21-year-old CB Sam Beal, who has been referred to as the best Supplemental Draft prospect ever

Giants quarterback Eli Manning discusses his optimistic outlook on the teams' upcoming season.

Giants QB Eli Manning has seen videos of Odell Beckham, Sterling Shepard, and Saquon Barkley working out shirtless -- and he has a few words for his teammates.

"I know they'll have to make some adjustments, we do practice with our shirts on with the Giants," Manning said with a smile at a football camp at Kean University. "Friction and all that, they'll have to make an adjustment the first two weeks, so it might be something new for 'em, might take a little time for them to get used to that. Besides that, I think it's great those guys are together, they're challenging each other and they're getting excited for the upcoming season."

Manning threw 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season as his team stumbled to an injury-plagued 3-13 season. The 37-year-old QB said the new season gives him an opportunity to "kind of prove to yourself you should still be doing this."

EA Sports released its highly-anticipated Madden NFL 19 ratings on Tuesday, and the Giants saw themselves at the bottom of the pack.

Despite some high-profile names on the roster, Big Blue came in rated 73 which is the third-worst ranking in the popular video game. The ratings do change based off team performance throughout the year.

The highest-rated player on the Giants is WR Odell Beckham Jr., who came in at 95 overall. That makes him the third-best receiver in the game behind Steelers' Antonio Brown, who has a nearly perfect rating of 99, and Falcons' Julio Jones' 98 rating...

A former NFL agent believes Giants WR Odell Beckham "would probably be better off" signing a three-year extension with the team in order to maximize his chances of making even more money once he is a 28-year-old free agent.

Joel Corry, who is an NFL business analyst for CBS Sports, sees that three-year extension being worth $55 million, with $40 million guaranteed.

"If his first three years are any indication of what he's going to be down the road, he'd reap the benefit of the market changing,'' said Corry, who represented NFL players, per the New York Post. "Julio Jones did the five-year extension, and he's unhappy with his deal right now. Maybe Beckham should look at the Julio Jones situation and not do the conventional five-year deal. Be able to get another bite of the apple when he's truly hitting his prime.''

President Donald Trump, who last season referred to NFL players who kneel in protest during the anthem as "sons of bitches," wondered aloud Thursday if the league's new policy is worse than the old one. Trump also bashed NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and claimed ratings are down in part because of "the flag."

"If you don't respect the flag or you don't like the country or whatever it is just go into the locker room," Trump said, according to Yahoo! Sports. "Just go into the locker room. I think in many respects that's worse. Isn't that worse than having them not standing?"

Under the new anthem policy, all team and league personnel on the field must "stand and show respect for the flag and the anthem." Personnel who choose not to stand for the anthem may stay in the locker room or a similar location off the field until its conclusion...

Giants RB Saquon Barkley has a lot of expectations on his shoulders.

Barkley is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year, he's expected to help lead the Giants back to the playoffs, extend Eli Manning's career and almost single-handily rescue a Giants rushing attack that finished 26th in the league in rushing yards.

As such, EA Sports Madden '19 has released their top rookie ratings and predictably has Barkley in the top five, though surprisingly not number one. He's second with an 82 rating, trailing only Colts G Quenton Nelson (83). He is ahead of Browns QB and No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield (81). Bears LB Roquan Smith (81) and Broncos DE Bradley Chubb (80) round out the rookie top five.

The phrase, "They won't know what hit 'em," is perfect to describe defensive coordinator James Bettcher's system for the Giants next season.

Bettcher's 3-4 scheme is one of mystery and disguise, designed to keep opposing offenses guessing as to what type of defense the Giants are running. It worked with the Cardinals during his tenure there, and he is hoping for even more success with a promising, young defense in the Giants.

One of those youngsters is S Andrew Adams, who will battle for the starting position next to All-Pro S Landon Collins again in training camp. And though it may sound confusing, he had only one way to describe Bettcher's scheme...

Though he has the NFL's best-selling jersey since April and is projected to earn $31.5 million from his rookie deal, Giants running back Saquon Barkley said he is going to try to spend like Marshawn Lynch and live solely on endorsement deals.

"Once I realized when I declared for the NFL draft and kind of realized where I was going to be drafted," Barkley said on Thursday, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, "that was something I was like, 'You know what? Kind of want to follow the Marshawn Lynch method. I don't want to touch that. I want to invest it, put it in the right peoples' hands and learn as I continue to make investments. And just live off the endorsement deals.' "

Lynch has earned more than $52 million from NFL contracts, according to Spotrac, but NFL Network's Ian Rapaport said two years ago that the current Raiders running back "hasn't spent a dime of his actual playing money ... ever," instead spending money from his endorsement deals with Nike, Pepsi and Skittles, among other companies.

Giants rookie RB Saquon Barkley has the best-selling jersey in the NFL at another outlet. First, it was according to the DICK's Sporting Goods Jersey Report, now the official NFL shop announced that they sold more No. 26 Barkley jerseys than anyone else in the league between April and mid-June.

Former Giants QB Phil Simms badly wants the Giants to re-sign Odell Beckham -- and he wants them to "get it over with."

Simms, who was named MVP of Super Bowl XXI after completing 22 of 25 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns, said Beckham is among the best offensive weapons in the NFL.

"Antonio Brown is great, but he's a different type of player. So is Julio Jones," Simms told the New York Post. "I just look at Odell Beckham Jr. and, man, I don't know what to say."

Body found at Jenkins' home 00:01:36
The DNL crew discusses the news of a dead body being found in the home of Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins, while he was in Florida.

There was a dead body found in Giants CB Janoris Jenkins' New Jersey home on Tuesday, and Jenkins' older brother has been charged with manslaughter and is in custody, according to the Bergen County prosecutor's office.

The victim was indentified as 25-year-old Roosevelt Rene, who the Bergen County Prosecutor's office described as Jenkins' "family friend." Rene, who is also known as music producer Trypps Beatz, has many photos with Jenkins on his Instagram account.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, citing law enforcement sources, reported that police "are investigating a possible stragulation/suffocation" as the cause of death.

Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. has seen some bad spotlight on and off the field. In turn, public perception of the 25-year-old's character hasn't been squeaky clean.

However, QB Davis Webb says Beckham's personality is entirely misconstrued because of these instances.

"If you're around Odell, your percetion changes totally," Webb told NJ.com's Ryan Dunleavy. "He's a very intellectual human being. He's easy to talk to. You can talk to him about everything from music, to food, to E! News. It doesn't matter. He's always having a lot of fun, always dancing, always singing."

To all NFL Fans, they would say their team's faithful are the best in the league. However, Dr. Michael Lewis of Emory's Goizueta Business School created a statistical model to calculate exactly which fan base is the best in the NFL.

Lewis' model has three different factors that go into the calculation. First, there is "Fan Equity" that calculates how much fans spend on their team, both in tickets and apparel. Next, there is "Social Equity" which totals fans following their team on social media, and that is followed by "Road Equity" which calculates fans traveling with their team on the road.

Based off Lewis' model, the Giants come in a No. 4 on the list of the 32 NFL teams.

He is a top Giants wide receiver coming off an ankle injury with a contract situation looming over the team's head. Ring any bells?

Though the answer is certainly Odell Beckham Jr., former Giants WR Plaxico Burress is correct as well.

Back in 2008 when he was Eli Manning's top target, Burress was in the exact position Beckham is currently in this offseason. Burress had a longer contract with three years and $10 million still left on it, but he wanted a new, more lucrative deal before taking the field that season in case of another injury.

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was ranked among the best route runners in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus' Michael Renner.

Beckham was one of four players graded as an honorable mention to the Steelers' Antonio Brown as the best route runners in the league. Joining Beckham were the Bengals' A.J. Green and the Vikings' Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

Though Beckham is known more for his prolific one-handed catches, Pro Football Focus notes Beckham's wide receiver rating is 36.1 points above average on his double-move routes.

Giants rookie RB Saquon Barkley was among this year's group of athletes to be featured in ESPN the Magazine's Body Issue

The 21-year-old first-rounder showed off his physique, which has been in the spotlight since his Penn State days. Barkley's workouts, including a 405-pound power clean, went viral as fans marveled at his strength.

But, when asked about his favorite workout moment, Barkley didn't say one of the moments where he broke a personal best. Instead, it was a rare moment he couldn't get the weight up.

Giants QB Eli Manning has stated numerous times that his walk into the sunset isn't anytime soon.

Manning reiterated that fact when talking about the next two seasons, after which he will become a free agent. And when looking at the weapons he has to work with this season, Manning not only believes his run hasn't ended, but a Super Bowl isn't too far away either.

"Obviously it has been an unbelievable run, but I want to continue doing it. It's not over," Manning told NFL Network's Kim Jones. "I know that. ...I'm excited for this upcoming year and really prove that I can still play at a high level. We can win games. We can win championships."

Odell Beckham, Jr. promised he won't hold out, but sources in his camp insist a holdout is still on the table. Pat Shurmur said he expects Beckham will show up to camp on time, but team sources say they're not so sure about that. Beckham wants a new contract, but there's no indication he'll get one any time soon. And there are still five weeks to go until the Giants report for training camp, and any of that could change at any time.

So while you're biting your nails for the next few weeks wondering if the Giants' best player will show up or not, and pondering just how ugly his contract negotiations could get (or not), here's a primer on where everything stands with Beckham, the Giants, and his contract as of right now, and a look at where this whole thing may eventually go...

The No. 2 pick is No. 1.

Giants rookie RB Saquon Barkley has the best-selling jersey in the NFL, according to the DICK's Sporting Goods Jersey Report.

Barkley has held the top spot for the week and last month. Eagles QB Carson Wentz is No.2, with Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott No.3. Jets rookie QB Sam Darnold checks in at No. 8.

Evan Engram (Ron Chenoy)

There wasn't much to critique when looking back at Giants TE Evan Engram's rookie season. He was one of Eli Manning's top targets as he hauled in 64 receptions for 722 yards and six touchdowns, which earned him a spot on the PFWA's All-Rookie Team.

But no one is perfect, and Engram knows there is an area of his game he can improve on. Though he led all rookie tight ends in receptions, yards and touchdowns, he could have more in each category if he didn't drop 11 passes.

Engram's catch rate was 55 percent last season, and that is what he is working on in preparing for this year. It already began during the team's offseason workouts.
