Former Giants K Lawrence Tynes slammed former Jets head coach Rex Ryan after he compared QB Geno Smith's chin to a marshmallow on the set of ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown.
"Although, this might be Geno's chin," Ryan said as he held a marshmallow in his hand. "Not sure. A little soft. That chin's a little soft there Geno."
Rex Ryan just referred to Geno Smiths chin as a marshmallow on ESPN. Really? Grow up and leave that man alone. Geno is in the league and you are blowing smoke out your pie hole in a studio. #GMEN- Lawrence Tynes (@lt4kicks) December 10, 2017
Smith criticized his former coach last week after Ryan said he wouldn't want him starting.
"I did see one of my ex-coaches say he didn't want me to be his quarterback," Smith said. That really upset me. A guy that we saved his job in 2013. We fought our a-- for him both years. For him to say that shows how much of a coward he is."
In his only start for the Giants, Smith completed 21 of 34 passes for 212 yards, a touchdown, and two lost fumbles.
