Patriots OC Josh McDaniels has 3/2 odds to become the next head coach of the Giants -- the highest of any candidate expected to interview -- in a list released by Bovada Sportsbook.
Patriots DC Matt Patricia has 2/1 odds, Eagles DC Jim Schwartz has 3/1 odds, Vikings OC Pat Shurmur has 6/1 odds, and Broncos assistant head coach Eric Studesville has 7/1 odds.
Interim head coach Steve Spagnuolo and Panthers DC Steve Wilks are not listed.
McDaniels, 41, has had head coaching experience in the NFL, as he coached the Broncos in 2009 and 2010. He finished with an 11-17 record. He was an assistant for the Patriots from 2001 to 2008, and has been their OC since 2012.
"Josh has done an incredible job," Patriots QB Tom Brady said about McDaniels on WEEI on Wednesday. "He's an incredible coach and a great friend."
McDaniels (Bears, Colts), Patricia (Cardinals, Lions), Shurmur (Bears, Cardinals, Lions), and Wilks (Bears, Colts, Lions) are also drawing head coaching interest elsewhere, reports Field Yates of ESPN.
The Giants are expected to conduct interviews for head coach between Wednesday and this weekend.
