**OL David Diehl took a whopping cut in pay yesterday, agreeing to to play this season for $1 million as opposed to $4.475 million. That's a 77.7% reduction in pay. He must have been faced with being cut to agree to that.....
Diehl will still make more than recently re-signed OL Kevin Boothe, who a signed one-year, $905k contract earlier this week. Boothe's deal is for $840k with a $65,000 signing bonus.
**The Giants announced a small change in their uniforms for the upcoming season. They will be wearing white pants for some games this year in place of their standard gray ones. The white pants will not be the same ones worn by the Giants before changing to gray in 2000. They will have a thin red stripe bordered by gray and blue stripes. The old look had a thick red stripe bordered by blue piping.
**There is nothing new on the Victor Cruz front. The last we left it, Cruz and his reps were mulling over an undisclosed offer from the Giants.
**Former Giant RB Ahmad Bradshaw is scheduled to meet with the Steelers this week. He has been delaying meeting with teams until he is totally confident he is healthy enough to do so. From Mike Garafolo of USA Today:
Bradshaw recently visited noted foot and ankle specialist Robert Anderson, who told him he should be ready for the start of offseason practices in May.
The Steelers retained restricted free agents Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman but are looking for another back to add to the rotation in place of Rashard Mendenhall, who signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
**Former Giant DE Osi Umenyiora has still not signed with the Atlanta Falcons. They are apparently negotiating Osi's price. From Rotoworld:
It's just a matter of time before the deal is finalized. "Our discussions are fluid and amicable," said Falcons' GM Thomas Dimitroff. On Sunday, the Ravens agreed to terms with Elvis Dumervil on a five-year, $26 million contract with another $9 million possible in incentives. Umenyiora figures to receive slightly less than that. He's 2 1/2 years older than Dumervil and not as productive.
