The Giants will hold their annual rookie minicamp in about two weeks and will have those 17 in attendance plus about two dozen more players, who will come in on a tryout basis.
The draft itself went well for the Giants. For the second consecutive draft, they scored two first-round talents (RB David Wilson and WR Rueben Randle) with their first two selections.
In Round Three, they landed CB Jayron Hosley, a Pacman Jones type talent without the nonsense. Round Four yielded a David Diehl-like OL in Auburn's Brandon Mosely.
The rest of the draft was dedicated to some interesting developmental projects: TE Adrien Robinson; OL Matt McCants and DT Markus Kuhn. GM Jerry Reese dubbed Robinson the "JPP of tight ends."
Ten UDFAs were signed after the draft. As far as we know, these are the players who received contracts, not just invites:
DE Matt Broha, Louisiana Tech; WR David Douglas, Arizona; DE Adwale Ojomo, Miami; WR Julian Talley, UMass; S Jojo Nicolas, Miami; WR Damian Davis, Mary Hardin-Baylor; S Janzen Jackson, McNeese State; OL Stephen Goodwin, Nebraska-Kearney; G De'Angelo McCray, Memphis and RB, Joe Martinek, Rutgers.
