And that, my friends, is the last straw. Much like Squints in Sandlot, I found myself watching this hapless Giants team screaming, "I can't take it anymore!"
The Giants didn't just lose to the previously winless 49ers. They were embarrassed -- absolutely put to shame by a team that couldn't put two and two together all season. You knew it was god awful when the camera panned to co-owner John Mara, who was probably steaming out of the ears if zoomed in on.
So, the question everyone is asking now: Where do we go from here? Does McAdoo get fired on the spot for officially hitting rock bottom with this Giants team? Should Jerry Reese join McAdoo in cleaning out their offices? Do the Giants deserve to play the rest of the season?
I may be jumping the gun, but it can't be held in any longer. I speak for all Giants fans when I say something needs to happen, and it needs to be done quickly. Whether it's McAdoo or Reese (preferably both) leaving or Davis Webb starting at quarterback, I need something to give me a reason to watch the Giants the rest of the season.
Right now, with what I saw at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, I'm not sure I can bare to watch another down. Players have no heart, the coaches are stuck with faces of confusion, and a big, fat "L" is placed next to the Giants every week. This isn't the Giants football I'm used to seeing.
Something needs to change...now.
