Alright, let's all try to reel in our words of distain and hatred now that it is clear McAdoo will be the head coach for the rest of the season. You can get back to that once the season ends. But this annoucement doesn't mean the Giants shouldn't worry about their future right now.
Yes, getting McAdoo and Reese out the door after the season is virtually the main concern for Giants fans. However, there are still seven games left to play, and the Giants need to appeal to fans in some way if they don't want to look different colored jerseys than blue and white surrounding MetLife Stadium the rest of the season.
So, how can the Giants get fans to still come out to games without wanting to gauge their eyes out? Play Davis Webb. There needs to be some appeal, something new for fans going forward. No one wants to watch Eli Manning put his hands on his hips in astonishment because the offense didn't convert on first down. Or even worse, see Manning eat a mouthful of turf every other play due to the swiss cheese O-line.
Playing Webb not only helps to keep fans engaged as they look ahead to the future, but like I've said so many times before, it will help the Giants with their high first-round pick in April. Just make the man active already, and get him some reps. If the Giants don't, they may make a huge mistake on Draft Day not to mention fans may really start boycotting.
Even if it's not Webb, make a change. Give us some reason to watch on Sunday.
