Wow...just wow. I'm still trying to comprehend what I saw at MetLife Stadium yesterday.
I traveled to East Rutherford for my first regular season game of the season in hopes the Giants figured something out over the bye week, and would actually put up a fight on their home turf. Instead, I witnessed a team even more unmotivated to be on the field than in the first half of the season. And it was an insult to injury that a paid attedance of over 76,000 sat in the rain with me to watch the worst home loss by the Giants since 1964.
The Giants not only got blown out in what looked like an Alabama preseason game Sunday, but it proved to everyone in attendance and watching that this team simply does not care. There were signs before the beatdown that showed this team was still in disarray like Janoris Jenkins not telling the team where he was after the bye, and the injuries that continued to plague players like Olivier Vernon and Weston Richburg.
The Rams -- a playoff contender -- had their way with the Giants and it was ugly. With matchups against more playoff hungry teams in the near future, it's time for Giants fans to prepare for the worst.
