The 49ers, outside of the TE Vernon Davis 73-yard TD play and one other long incompletion down the middle of the field to WR Michael Crabtree, they have been true to form: conservative.
The Giants held the football for the majority of the first half (over 18 minutes), but did little with it for the most part. They had a nice, ten-play, 69-yard drive in the early part of the second quarter that ended in a Eli Manning to Bear Pascoe 6-yard TD pass.
In the final minute of the half, the Giants drove the ball down inside the Niners' 20 and settled for a 31-yard Lawrence Tynes FG to take a 10-7 halftime lead.
There have been no turnovers and each team has been penalized three times.
