Now Commenting On:

The Giants enter Day Three of the NFL Draft having fortified some need areas: WR, C, and DT. Many question the choice of players to fill those needs, but that could be said for most teams this morning.

Today the Giants have four selections:

Round Four: Pick 13 (113)

Round Five: Pick 12 (152) and Pick 34 (174)*

Round Six: Pick 11 (187)

They do not have a 7th round selection. It was traded away to Carolina last October in the Jon Beason deal.

*Compensatory selection (cannot be traded)

Possible positions to be addressed: TE, DB, RB, DE

Tight End: All the top ones are gone and the highest rated on the board right now is Oregon's Colt Lyerla, who is very unlikely to be selected by the Giants. Two possibilities: Georgia's Arthur Lynch and Marcel Jenson of Fresno State

Running Back: BC'S Andre Williams and Davonta Freeman of Florida State headline the draft board availables this morning. Alabama State's Isaiah Crowell is also still out there.

DB: A sizable corner would be nice. Utah's Keith McGill, Pierre Desir of Lindenwood and NC State's Dontae Johnson could all pique the Giants' interest. Some safety possibles: LSU's Craig Loston, Dion Bailey of USC and Brock Vereen of Minnesota.
