The 80th annual NFL Draft will be held in Chicago, at the Auditorium Theater of Roosevelt University. Three projected Top-10 selections - Florida State QB Jameis Winston, WR Amari Cooper of Alabama and Oregon QB Marcus Mariota, the Heisman Trophy winner, have chosen not to attend.
Over two dozen other highly-touted prospects will be on hand however (NFL Communications).
The draft will kickoff this Thursday night at 8pm Eastern with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the clock. Each team will be allotted 10 minutes per selection. The second and third rounds are set for Friday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) followed by rounds 4-7 on Saturday, May 2 at 12:00 PM ET.
In Round Two, the time allowed per selection shortens to seven minutes. In rounds 4-6, teams will get just five minutes to make a selection. The times in Round Seven and for all compensatory selections (regardless of round) have been shortened to four minutes. Compensatory picks cannot be traded.
The Giants have eight selections, including the 9th overall and four in the top 108. They do not have any compensatory selections but do have additional seventh rounder they received from Denver last year in exchange for PK Brandon McManus.
