The NFL is monitoring the situation surrounding wildfires in California ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup between the Giants and 49ers.
As of Saturday, the NFL had no plans to change the time or location of the game, reports the Sacramento Bee. However, plans will ultimately be determined by whether or not the air quality improves.
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said on Saturday that he is aware of the possibility that there could be a change in plans.
"Just hearing about it the last two days and last night, when I got home my wife showed me some of the videos that were going on," he said, per NBC Sports. "You know how bad it is, then you see it and it's unbelievable. It's affected a ton of people on our team, I know everyone through California."
Shanahan said his team will be ready to play on Monday, regardless, and they will "wait until someone tells us what we're doing."
