The once mighty NY Giants defense allowed 347 points ranking them 17th in this category. The fans waited and held their breath for 137 plus days for their beloved New York Giants to take the field after the lock out.
Everyone was ready for the New York Giants to make a run at improving their ball club. The NFL is very competitive. The best rule of thumb is to always stay locked and focused on your own team and their needs.
However...sometimes you half to admit for when your team is not as good as you think it is.
The NY Giants to this point have barely made an impact on their 2011 team. A center, a punter, some draft picks and a handful of free agents have been signed. The biggest "rumor" surrounding the Giants is Jason Snelling recently of the Atlanta Falcons. This Toms River, New Jersey product rushed for 324 yards in 2010 and 613 yards in 2009 and get ready for a big yawn...62 yards in 2008. Snelling can be a productive player for someone, but he will bring nothing to the table that Bradshaw, DJ Ware or Da'Rel Scott doesn't already.
If this is the answer to Ahmad Bradshaw...save it and lower the cost of food and beer.
Kevin Boss needs to be signed. If the Giants brass were not sure about Boss, then why not sign Zach Miller or Todd Heap(now a Cardinal). One of the best route runners and slot receivers in all football, Steve Smith, needs to get wrapped up along with the 2010 NY Giants "unsung hero" Deon Grant.
And for the love of all that is red, white and blue..why wouldn't the Giants sign Barrett Rudd or Nick Barnett. The space between the Eagles and Giants is growing larger and larger. Signing Vince Young was good for a laugh...but that's as far as it went.
