Giants star WR Odell Beckham Jr. wants to meet with 9-year-old cancer patient Jayro Ponce after receiving pleas on social media.
The first attempt to reach Beckham was from Amarillo, Texas radio personality Tommy Joe who wrote on his "Hacker Morning Show" Facebook page pleading the 24-year-old to meeet with his biggest fan.
"Jayro is a fighter, hero and loved by many! As we all know he is battling cancer. ...With the power of God, Miracles, Radio and Social Media I think we can make this little guy smile at this point in his life," Tommy Joe wrote. "His dream is to meet New York Giants Odell Beckham. PLEASE help me try to make this happen."
Beckham Jr. didn't see this post directly. Instead, he received the plea from Danny Richburg, the father of Giants center Weston Richburg.
Danny Richburg tweeted: "@OBJ_3 can make Jayro Ponce's make a wish. PM me and I can get it set up. Not much time. Thanks." Richburg also posted a formal plea on his Twitter saying, "We will find the $ to pay the jet fuel" for Beckham to make it down to Texas.
Beckham answered the plea Tuesday expressing his want to meet Ponce.

Ponce was diagnosed with a malignant Rhabdoid tumor last December, and was met by Weston Richburg, who is a Texas native, in April.
