With the Dolphins saying they are willing to deal WR Jarvis Landry before the trade deadline, Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. is his team to make a call.
Beckham and Landry are best friends, having played and dormed together at LSU during their collegiate careers. The Giants are also in desperate need of help at the wide receiver position.
The rumors prompted Beckham to post a couple of tweets hoping to spark some interest within the organization.
AYYYYYYEEEE OVER HERE OVER HERE !!! Gimme my brother back https://t.co/8T9Q2JhIm5- Odell Beckham Jr (@OBJ_3) October 31, 2017
Beckham even went as far as to post his and Landry's college highlights to show what kind of dynamic duo they could be, later calling for an NFL super-team.
Beckham is out for the rest of the season as he recovers from surgery that repaired his broken tibia from Week 5.
Landry currently leads the Dolphins with 50 receptions for 398 yards, and is ranked second with three touchdowns. The 24-year-old is in the final year of his rookie contract, and will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

This would be the ultimate Halloween treat if Odell could be reunited with his best friend. Too bad it's not going to happen.
Yes, the Giants are in desperate need of help on their wide receiver corps. But Landry, who is a natural slot receiver, doesn't have a fit on the team. Sterling Shepard is already in the slot, and he is much cheaper than what Landry is expected to get (at the least $10 million/year).
Granted, Landry could most likely work on the outside opposite of his best buddy. But, would it be worth the Giants giving up a high draft pick for the 2018 NFL Draft when the season is already in the dumps. Plus, they would have to re-sign him in the offseason with money they don't really have.
Odell, you can dream. But this reunion is more of a trick than a treat. But hey, crazy things can happen on Halloween.
