Atlanta dismantled New York, just as the Giants tried to make one last playoff push.
Now it appears as if the NFC's top-seeded team may have interest in plucking one of the Giants main cogs and potential free-agent targets.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the team has interest in adding former Colts defense end Dwight Freeney and Osi Umenyiora to bolster its defensive line, one that has featured John Abraham but failed to find a book end opposite him.
The team whipped on former Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards, who cost the team $11 million in guaranteed money.
With the 30th selection in the draft, GM Thomas Dimitroff is also considering younger talent to the fill the void.
