Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul dedicated his three-sack performance on Sunday night to a 7-year-old boy battling cancer.
Before the Giants traveled to Denver, Pierre-Paul met Hayden on a visit through The Garden of Dreams Foundation last Friday. Hayden decided to show JPP his best dance moves, and the defensive end knew exactly when he would showcase it on Sunday night.
"You know what? If I get a sack -- which I am going to get a sack -- I'm going to do your dance," Pierre-Paul said.
Well, he performed Hayden's dance three times after taking down Broncos QB Trevor Siemian to tie his career high in sacks.
The 28-year-old lineman made a strong connection with Hayden after the Giants fan revealed he is missing a toe due to his cancer. Pierre-Paul took off his gloves, showed Hayden his scarred right hand, and gave the gloves to him to show the boy that he can fight through anything.
"Guess what? You're a survivor," Pierre-Paul said. "No fear, right? No fear."
On his trip to the Quest Diagnostics Training Facility, Hayden not only met JPP, but also got the chance to speak with DT Damon "Snacks" Harrison, P Brad Wing, and LS Zack DeOssie among others.
