Mot much happening but here are two Giant-related player tidbits from our friends at Rotoworld"
ESPN New York thinks James Jones "makes the most sense" for the Giants among the free agent wide receivers. It seems every Packers offensive free agent is being connected to the Giants. New Giants OC Ben McAdoo was the Packers QBs coach this past season. The Giants are looking to replace Hakeem Nicks, who isn't expected back, but we really don't see GM Jerry Reese committing much money to the position. Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle, and Jerrel Jernigan should make up a fine three-wide group. Signing a veteran on a cheap one-year deal could make more sense.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution expects the Falcons to retain RE Osi Umenyiora for 2014.Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff simply isn't in a position where he can afford to part with semi-productive pass rushers, even if doing so on Osi would save $3.5 million versus the cap. Clearly in decline, 32-year-old Umenyiora managed 7.5 sacks across 16 games in 2013. Pro Football Focus gave him negative grades as a pass rusher, though Umenyiora was largely an asset in run defense.

As much as Osi has done for the Giants, I can't see them going backwards should he be released. The team is confident JPP will bounce back and have high hopes for Damontre Moore. As for Justin Tuck, the Giants will make him a fair offer and he will probably take it.

I like Jones and he is very familiar with McAdoo's system. He had 14 TDs in 2012, when Aaron Rodgers was healthy for a full season. Last year, he only had 3, but had a career-high 817 receiving yards.
