New York Giants running back Shane Vereen has been cleared from the concussion protocol and is expected to play Sunday against the Lions, reports ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
The running back was listed as questionable on the team's Friday injury report.
Vereen left last week's game against the Dallas Cowboys in the second quarter with the concussion and did not return. He suffered the injury when he was tackled on a 10-yard reception early in the second quarter.
He had not played since Sept. 25 due to a triceps injury and was activated off injured reserve earlier this week.
He totaled 147 rushing yards and one touchdown on 31 carries, and 75 receiving yards on eight receptions in three games this season prior to Sunday.
