In a single trade, the Patriots changed the narrative of the Odell Beckham, Jr. trade rumors. They traded their top receiver Brandin Cooks and a fourth-round pick to the Rams, who had been at the forefront of Beckham trade talks, for their 23rd overall selection in this year's Draft and a sixth-rounder. Cooks, now fills the void left by Sammy Watkins, and combines his talents with the emerging Cooper Kupp. That puts Los Angeles out of the running for the Giants' 25-year-old star.

But the Patriots now have a void to fill. Cooks produced 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns on 65 receptions last season. Also, Danny Amendola, who was the team's second-best wideout with 659 yards on 61 receptions last season, signed with the Miami Dolphins. Julian Edelman, who is currently their top wide receiver with these moves, is coming off a torn ACL from last season.
