Feel free to include your picks for these or any other of the week’s games in the comments section. Good luck!
Green Bay Packers (-5.5) at St. Louis Rams
The Rams defense has been better than expected this season, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ offense are different animals. I think the Packers, even on the road, winning by at least a touchdown is a safe bet.
Arizona Cardinals (+7) at Minnesota Vikings
I’m still not seeing the whole love affair with the Vikings. Granted, Kevin Kolb is out for a few weeks, so it’s John Skelton’s show. Maybe he finally decides to step up and take the starting job for his own. I can see this being a tight game decided late by a field goal, so the seven-point spread would come into play.
New York Jets (+12) at New England Patriots
The Patriots’ defense has been porous this season, especially late in games. The Jets’ offense, however, has been anemic all season. But this is a key rivalry game in the AFC East, and if the Jets don’t show up on the road, they don’t deserve to be in the same conversation as the Pats. You would think that even Mark Sanchez (or Tim Tebow) could keep the Jets within 12 against a bad defense. I guess we’ll see, but I’m betting the spread here.
Washington Redskins (+5.5) at New York Giants
Robert Griffin III and the Redskins have shown they can score points in a hurry. But the defense has a terrible matchup this week facing Eli Manning. The Redskins give up so many big plays deep down the field, and Manning should exploit them all afternoon. It might be a high-scoring game, but I see the Giants being able to cover.
