Ross is ready to go. He says he hasn't felt this good since his rookie year. When asked how his health was, the 28-year-old was straight-forward:
"I’ve been doing pretty well. I came into camp in shape and I feel really good this year. I’m healthy, I’m ready to go out; I feel like my old self. I have my balance back, my speed back, so I’m ready to go."
There were rumors earlier in the week the Giants might be shopping Ross to free up cap room, but now that the team has lost two corners in two days, those rumors have subsided.
Ross is being relied upon to produce in the secondary. He knows it, too...
"Losing Bruce Johnson was huge and then losing Prince on the second day—that’s huge as well. Like I said, team depth at corner is really important right now, especially how fast corners go down throughout the season. Losing those two guys is really big."
