Now Commenting On:

Good morning. I'm sure you're all still digesting the coaching carousel going on at QDTC the past few days. More announcements are coming soon in the way of QB, WR, RB and TE coach. The Giants will be looking for coaches who will fit the new system being implemented by OC Ben McAdoo.

RB David Wilson will undergo surgery on the herniated disc in his neck at HSS here in Manhattan today. The Giants are playing this one close to the vest, not expecting Wilson to ready for the upcoming season.

ESPN NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. is mocking Alabama LB CJ Mosely to the Giants at No. 12 this April. Not sure why the Giants would take a LB in the first round this season when they need so much help elsewhere.

Last year, Kiper had Washington CB Desmond Trufant going to the Giants at 19. In 2012, he had Stanford TE Coby Fleener mocked to the Giants at 32. In 2011, Kiper predicted BC OT Anthony Castonzo was going to the Giants.

Of course, the Giants chose none of those players. Kiper is excellent at identifying the top players in the draft, but not so adept at which teams they will end up with. Last year, he was 4-for-32 in that category.

The NFC Championship Game is upon us and Seahawks' CB Richard Sherman, instead of concentrating on this week's opponent - the 49ers - he's still babbling about what Giants' Kevin Gilbride said about the Seattle CBs last month.

From Ebenezer Samuel of the Daily News:

The first war of words of this NFC championship week pitted the NFL’s preeminent cover corner against Gilbride, for something Gilbride said in mid-December, when he’d dared to suggest that the Seahawk ‘D’ had “perfected the art” of defensive holding.

“I think he’s a guy that’s a little bit bitter, and his team didn’t score,” Sherman said, recalling the Seahawks’ 23-0 shutout win at MetLife last month. “You find a way to explain that to save yourself.”

Sherman is not really too off-base by broaching the topic. He's well aware that Niners' head coach Jim Harbaugh will be barking in the officials' ears all game this Sunday.
