"We wish Tiki nothing but the best, and when we are able to make the transaction, we will release him from our reserve/retired list.”
Where Barber will land is anyone's guess. At 36, Tiki may still have life back in his legs, but it is hard for anyone to imagine that he will garner big bucks or be featured in anyone's 2011 backfield.
"After seeing my brother still have fun at our age, it reignited the fire. I'm really looking forward to the challenge of seeing if I can get back to the level of where I was," Barber told FOXSports.com exclusively. "I started working out again recently. It kind of shocked myself. I still had a lot of the strength I had before. I'm really looking forward to making a return."
Last year at the draft, Tiki was working with YaHoo! Sports and spoke to myself and Dr. Football at length but made no indication that he was contemplating a return to the playing field. He told us his brother Ronde was thinking of packing it in, but was energized by the young Bucs' DBs and head coach Raheem Morris.
I say Tiki ends up in Tampa......just a hunch
