Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN New York reports that Justin Tuck recently had words for LeSean McCoy. McCoy and Osi Umenyiora have had a well publicized feud, in which McCoy called out Umenyiora on twitter.
In addition to backing up Osi and saying his stats back up his play, Tuck called out social media in general.
“I honestly think social media has made people cowards,” Tuck said. “Where I’m from, if you had a problem with somebody, you said it to their face. I think now people are hiding behind computers and smart phones to get out something they got on their chest where I’m used to having a problem with a person, you go tell it to their face. You don’t go blast it out so everybody in the world can see about it.”As if the Eagles rivalry needed any more fuel.
Tuck said that he would like to see Osi return, but the same cannot be said about former teammate Tiki Barber.
“I don’t wish anything negative on him but he just said some things that maybe he shouldn’t have said and that is kind of coming back to bite him right now,” Tuck said. “He led by example and let his play lead by example. He was never one of those guys that kind of was getting a hug, rah, rah, things of that nature which was fine. But he did kind of turn some people off with some of the things that he did the year that he was leaving. I guess he kind of knew he was leaving.”And now back to stories about the never-ending lockout...
