Mike Pope, the Giants' longtime TE coach who was let go last week, is in the running for the same position with the Dallas Cowboys. From Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas:
"The Dallas Cowboys have to find a new tight end coach with Wes Phillips leaving to take the same position with the Washington Redskins.
The Cowboys are looking at Mike Pope as a replacement. Pope spent 23 seasons with the New York Giants as an assistant coach, most recently as a tight ends coach.
There is a connection: Coach Jason Garrett was a backup quarterback with the Giants from 2000 to 2003."
