Now Commenting On:

The Giants will resume practices this week at QDTC today, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be an off day with the Steelers coming into MetLife Stadium on Saturday for Preseason game No. 2.

All practices will be held from 5:40pm-7:50 p.m. Only Wednesday's workout will open to the public due to events at MetLife.

Monday was a sad day at QDTC as word came down that David Wilson (neck) had been advised by doctors "not to play football again." The Giants placed Wilson on season-ending IR, but his career is believed to be over.

From GEICO SportsNite: Head coach Tom Coughlin talks about the the latest news with David Wilson and the status of his NFL career.

Several Giants stood out in Sunday's preseason victory over Buffalo. WR Marcus Harris made the most of his opportunities with four catches. Corey Washington, the 6'4" WR out of Newberry College caught a 73-yard TD.

S Zack Bowman showed why the Giants pursued him in free agency. He displayed a physical style and had an INT. Second-year safety Cooper Taylor may have blown an assignment on special teams that got a punt blocked, but he had a strong game on defense.

There's no mistaking the Giants may have a steal in RB Andre Williams. He is a mover and shaker in the running game. He comes as advertised: a pile-pushing, between the tackles rusher that can extend plays. The Giants may have finally solved their short-yardage and goal line woes.

On the injury front, TE Daniel Fells suffered a "bone bruise" to his knee. Not sure when he will return to practice.

Sitting out Sunday's game: WR Odell Beckham, WR Trindon Holliday, RB David Wilson, CB Bennett Jackson, CB Trumaine McBride, CB Travis Howard, LB Jon Beason, LB Spencer Paysinger, G Eric Herman, T Will Beatty, T Troy Kropog, TE Xavier Grimble, DE Robert Ayers, DT Mike Patterson

Coughlin did not comment on any of the players other than Beatty (leg, illness), who the team is slowly acclimating back into the lineup. He was replaced by free agent signee Charles Brown on Sunday.

The coach said he would wait for the "medical people" to advise him on the next steps for Beatty, who had been practicing until leaving the field last Thursday.
